8. Long Term Planning Documents

At Upton St Leonards, we follow a commercial resource for all our Music planning (Charanga - link here https://charanga.com/site/musical-school/). Our teachers use these schemes of work as the basis of our planning and then amend as necessary to meet the needs of their class. We are therefore unable to share any of these planning documents on our website for parents/carers to look at as we do not have the rights to re-distribute. If you are interested in finding out more about our Music curriculum beyond what we have included on this page, please speak to our Music leader - Miss Keightley.

9. Peripatetic Lessons

As well as a broad music curriculum, pupils at USL have the option to take part in peripatetic music lessons through one of our music teachers. We currently offer the following lessons: keyboard, piano, guitar, ukele and violin. We also use Rock Steady (https://www.rocksteadymusicschool.com/) where children become part of a school band and perform at Rock Concerts in the School Hall 6 times a year. These music lessons do come with a small weekly cost.

For more information about peripatetic music lessons or to register your child, please speak to the school office.
